Dr Jeremy Tan is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist and Glaucoma specialist. He is a staff specialist ophthalmologist at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Visiting Medical Officer at the Sutherland and Broken Hill Hospitals, and clinical senior lecturer at the University of Sydney. 

He obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney. He completed his internship and residency at the St George and Sutherland hospitals, followed by accredited ophthalmology training at the Prince of Wales Hospital network, where he was the Professorial senior registrar in his final year. He subsequently undertook glaucoma subspecialty training at the St Paul’s Eye Unit, Royal Liverpool University hospital and Moorfields Eye hospital, London, where he gained invaluable exposure in the medical and surgical management of complex glaucoma cases. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Tan is passionate about research in glaucoma surgery and visual field testing, and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He is a conjoint lecturer at the University of Sydney and UNSW, and supervises students undertaking MD research projects. Outside of work, Dr Tan enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and supporting Liverpool football club. Dr Tan is fluent in Mandarin.
